Warranty Policy
At GizmoGlow, we value our customers and are committed to providing a seamless shopping experience. All our products come with a warranty, with periods varying by product category. If you encounter issues with your purchase, please contact us, and we’ll work to resolve them promptly. Below are the terms and conditions outlining your warranty rights.
1. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Guarantees
The Australian Consumer Law provides non-excludable consumer guarantees ensuring goods are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and safe. These guarantees cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified and apply alongside this warranty, which is voluntarily provided by GizmoGlow.
2. Scope of Consumer Guarantees
Depending on the price and quality of the goods, ACL consumer guarantees may offer protections beyond this warranty or any manufacturer’s warranty, ensuring additional rights for repairs, replacements, or refunds.
3. Complementary Rights
This warranty operates in addition to any rights or remedies you may have under the ACL or other applicable Australian laws.
4. Manufacturer’s Warranty Documents
Some products may include warranty documents from the manufacturer, typically found in or on the product packaging. These are separate from GizmoGlow’s warranty and are provided by the manufacturer, not us. For imported goods, manufacturer warranties may not apply in Australia. To verify coverage or claim processes, contact the manufacturer using the details provided in their warranty documents.
5. GizmoGlow’s Warranty Commitment
Under this warranty, GizmoGlow agrees to:
-
Repair defective items;
-
Replace items if repair is not feasible; or
-
Issue a full refund of the purchase price if neither repair nor replacement is possible, in line with ACL obligations.
6. Warranty Period
The warranty period begins on the date of delivery to your nominated address. If proof of delivery is unavailable, the period starts 3 business days after dispatch. Specific warranty durations are listed on the product page (e.g., “X months warranty against defects”).
7. Filing a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, contact us at contact@gizmoglow.com.au or 0431 205 711 (Mon–Fri, 9 AM–5 PM AEST). Please provide:
-
A description of the defect or damage;
-
Photographs documenting the issue (if applicable);
-
Your invoice, order number, or other proof of purchase;
-
Any additional details required to process your claim.
We aim to assess claims within 2–3 business days.
8. Return Process
If your claim is covered by this warranty, our support team will provide return instructions, including a prepaid shipping label at GizmoGlow’s cost. If the claim is not covered by this warranty (unless required by the ACL), you are responsible for return shipping costs. All returns must be authorized through the process outlined above.
9. Damage in Transit
If goods are damaged or defective upon delivery, notify us within 24 hours with photographic proof. We’ll arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as per this warranty and ACL requirements.
10. Repair Centre Selection
GizmoGlow reserves the right to choose the most appropriate repair Centre for each case, coordinating with our dropshipping suppliers as needed.
11. Compliance with Return Instructions
You must adhere to all return instructions provided by GizmoGlow for warranty claims to be processed.
12. Unauthorized Returns
Returns will not be accepted unless authorized through the process described above.
13. Non-Defective Returns
If returned goods are found to be in working order, GizmoGlow may return them to you and, at our discretion, request reimbursement for costs incurred in processing the return.
14. Warranty Exclusions
Unless required by the ACL, this warranty does not cover:
-
Goods not installed, maintained, operated, or used according to manufacturer instructions or specifications;
-
Damage or defects caused by unauthorized repairs, defective or incompatible accessories, computer viruses, corrosive conditions, deliberate or negligent misuse/abuse, physical alterations, fire, liquid spillage, incorrect voltage, power surges/dips, thunderstorm activity, force majeure, tampering, or foreign bodies (e.g., insects or pests);
-
Damage from third-party software or hardware not provided by GizmoGlow;
-
Lost or stolen items;
-
Battery failures due to improper use or normal expiration;
-
Failures due to general wear and tear;
-
Single-use items, sanitary products, beauty products, food products, custom items, or spare parts.
15. Warranty Applicability
This warranty applies only to products explicitly listed on GizmoGlow.com.au with a stated warranty period (e.g., “X months warranty against defects”).
16. Liability Limits
Unless required by law (e.g., ACL), GizmoGlow’s liability is limited to the cost of the purchased goods or a replacement product.
17. Software and Data Liability
GizmoGlow is not liable for software or data losses caused by faults in storage media, except as required by the ACL. We recommend maintaining backups of all software and data on your devices.
18. Returned Media
For returned media (e.g., hard drives), whether standalone or part of a larger product, GizmoGlow is not responsible for any software or data stored on the media. We cannot guarantee repairs or replacements without risk to software or data. Always back up your data before returning items.
